WHAT ARE THEY?

They are our cost-effective and rapid response quality digital services. The vouchers are intended for maintaining existing projects and for the development of new small projects. This is not a time critical solution. Should you wish this function please request a ‘Retainer’ and/or SLA (‘Service Level Agreement’).

WHAT IS COVERED?

At present the following services are available at a rate multiplier per technology:

  • Graphic Design : (0.5*** to 1x Hourly rate-depending on level of artwork required).
  • Web-Client Development and Maintenance :  HTML, CSS , Javascript and jQuery (1x Hourly rate).
  • Web-Server Maintenance Programming : (1.75x Hourly rate per developer) : PHP/PHP frameworks, Perl Script, CGI/Bash and Django.
  • Database Maintenance (1.75x Hourly rate per developer) : PHP/MySQL, SQL-Lite.
  • Application Maintenance Programming : Python (1.5x Hourly rate).
  • Simple CMS Maintenance : (WordPress/Joomla etc) (1x Hourly rate).
  • 3D mesh creation and rendering : (2x Hourly rate).
  • iPad and iPhone specific development : (3x Hourly rate).
  • Telephone calls (incoming and outgoing) are billed as 15 minutes (including labor and cost within S.A) as a minimum.
  • (*** Rates with three stars are applicable up to and including 20 hours or less, the rate is 1x thereafter.)

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS OF THE PRE-PAID VOUCHER SYSTEM?

  • more cost effective hourly rate for the above-mentioned services.
  • Hourly rate is set for the duration of the individual maintenance voucher contract purchased, regardless of any standard rate changes that may be necessitated.
  • Time is saved on administration: No need for time-consuming continuous ‘brief-quote-order-delivery-invoice-statement’ type system as is utilized for larger projects. The saving is passed on to you in terms of improved service delivery at reduced cost.
  • Rapid response : We keep your project source files on our development machines to provide as fast as possible response to your immediate requirements.
  • Please note this system assumes normal office hours (Normal hours 8am to 5pm, after hours 1.5x rate charge on top of rate multiplierweekends and public holidays 2x charge on top of rate multiplier). We respond as soon as we can, typically within a business day or two maximum.
  • Consider a ‘Retainer‘ or ‘Service Level Agreement‘ should you require a time critical response after hours, weekends or over public holidays.
    Exceptions to this is are the Corporate and Enterprise hosting plans – this system will provide services over this time period with priority.
  • No hassles : We take the drudgery out of some complex issues that occur as part of normal site maintenance.
  • You only pay for part of the hour used (after an initial 15 minute mandatory charge).
    This provides increased value to you.

HOW DOES THE PROCESS WORK?

  1. Pre-Paid Voucher Hours’ are available for purchase from 3 to 30 hours at a very cost effective rate per hour.
  2. You pay upfront from our shop : Choose the number of  ‘Pre-paid Voucher Hours‘ you wish. Payment can be by credit card or EFT (bank details are at the end of this document).
  3. You contact us anytime during working hours (08h00 to 17h00, Mon-Fri), we will respond as soon as possible. (On Corporate and Enterprise plans any time is covered).
  4. We log the time in a time-management program. A detailed report of work done is generated in a web-page.
  5. When the voucher is exhausted, simply renew it as per your needs.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN PRE-PAID VOUCHER HOURS, RETAINER AND QUOTES?

  • Pre-Paid Voucher Hours : A basic system to provide services quickly and very cost effectively on small project development and maintenance. (This is what this document covers primarily). The onus is on you to decide how the hours should be used. This is a responsive tool.
  • Retainer/ Service Level Agreement : Here a monthly fee is charged whether you utilize our services or not, its benefit is that it ensures we are on call 7 days a week, 24 hours a day and will be available, where possible, after hours. After-hours multiplier rates are as per the ‘Pre-paid Voucher Hours’ system. This is a pro-active tool.
  • Project Quotes (Including mini-developments) :
    Here we consult on a larger job undertakings, requiring the following :
    1. A concise technical brief be in place; if not we would need to charge to assist.
    2. A time-line of delivery and stage payments.
    3. Allowance of set variances be noted.
    4. Deposits and possible 3rd party considerations.
    5. Production commences.

IMPORTANT TO NOTE

  • This system provides ‘as soon as possible delivery’ but is not a retainer for use as a time critical stand-by tool.
  • Should we close for the odd reason for a few days at a time, adequate advance notification would be provided at least a month in advance.
  • Items such as CD-ROM/Memstick batch delivery, print needs, hardware and software (from third parties) are separately invoiceable.
  • PIXELGRAPH MEDIA hourly rates are subject to change, but will not affect already purchased hours.
  • Maintenance hours are not transferable unless prior arrangement has been made.
  • Third party costs e.g. Google account charges and Word-Press plug-ins are not included, ie. separately invoiceable.
  • This voucher system only takes effect 2 weeks from purchase. Immediate work without a maintenance voucher necessitates our normal prevailing rate; however this rule is negated by back to back ‘pre-Paid Voucher Hours’ purchase within 72 hours.
  • Backups required are only performed online unless specifically stated otherwise.
  • Our Terms and Conditions here are applicable for items not verbosely mentioned in this document.
  • This voucher cannot also be used to deduct for services e.g. Hosting, Domain renewals, Add-on third parties costs, Online RSVP, Mass Mail, SEO/SEM etc.
  • This is an advance payment system intended to reduce administration for all parties and allow PIXELGRAPH MEDIA to provide quality cost-effective prices. Any hours outside this are charged at normal non-prepaid system base rate (R 395 per hour in 1 hour resolutions ) or are taken off the maintenance contract to the higher value.

Our current non-prepaid default rate is : R 395 per hour , with a minimum of 1 hour charge per ‘Item Session‘ then in minimum half an hour increments for the rest of that session. On the pre-paid system, however, you only pay for the minutes utilized (15min minimum per ‘Item Session‘). An ‘Item Session‘ starts after a non-consecutive start of timing on a job/s after a time frame has lapsed.

This system provides a responsive and cost-effective quality digital solution to address minor items.
